
Dr John Frewen is an Irish Dermatologist, who attained his medical degree and Doctorate of Philosophy (Medical Gerontology) from Trinity College Dublin and subsequently completed his Dermatology residency program at Southwest Peninsula, United Kingdom. During residency, particular focus was given to skin cancer, skin cancer surgery, and advanced therapeutics for eczema and psoriasis. He completed a fellowship in hair and scalp disorders at Sinclair Dermatology in 2024. He is trained in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology in adults and children.
Dr Frewen’s subspeciality interests include hair and scalp disorders, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancer.
Dr Frewen has authored several dermatology publications and has presented at multiple international conferences. Dr Frewen has been awarded a Clinical Fellowship with the UK Dermatology clinical trials network (DCTN) and continues to work on research at Sinclair Dermatology, as well as referring patients from clinic to enrol in suitable clinical trials.
